Franklin senior Chen Sheng recently won $1,000 in WCBM Women Talk Live’s 2009 “Girls Gone Great” contest. The essay recognizes local girls who are “going great” and serving their communities.

 


FHS in the News

Swipe starts with more efficient data collection. Students check in when they first arrive to school by "swiping" ID cards at the school entrance(s). The swiping stations record the exact time of entry and print "Swipe Alerts" for students that have active alerts or messages. Each Swipe station can log in dozens of students per minute for fast, efficient attendance data collection. Click here for the swipe website

Football Region Semi-Finals - November 13th

Franklin Defeats Poly 10-8!

“Varsity Football beat Poly 10-8 Friday night in the Regional semi-final. The Indians were paced by Quarterback Joey Dorsey, 10 for 14 for 122 yards and 1 TD.  Sophomore Ian Thomas had 5 catches for 66 yards and 1 Touchdown. Teddy Lutz led a great defensive effort with 10 tackles and 1 forced fumble. Ryan Oram added 9 tackles. Kicker Jake Gibson hit the game winning 34 yard field goal with 6 minutes left in the game. The Indians will now travel to Hereford Friday night for the Regional Championship. See you at the R-Zone!”

Baltimore County’s 2008-09 Teacher of the Year, John Billingslea, has been chosen one of eight finalists for the Maryland Teacher of the Year honor to be announced in October.
